Dynaudio System 240 Kick Panel Installation

Introduction
The kick panels and fenders were removed. All computers were relocated, some to the trunk. Holes were cut through the body. Sealed enclosures made of MDF, fiberglass, Bondo, and Dynamat were constructed. These enclosures were bonded to the body and the drivers were installed. Grills were made to match.

Before Installation
This picture shows the stock kickpanel without any speakers. Notice the parking brake.

After Installation
The parking brake was removed due to clearance problems. An electric parking brake with a switch was added to maintain this function. Grills were contructed to protect the speakers.

Construction
The fenders were removed. The area to be cut was marked. The body was cut to make an opening for the enclosure.

Enclosures
A sealed enclosure was constructed to house the drivers. The enclosure was shaped to fit within the wheel well. It was then coated with fiberglass to form an air-tight enclosure. The enclosure was then covered with Dynamat for sound damping.

Baffles and Crossovers
These pictures show the front side of the kickpanel baffle, back side, and installation. Passive crossovers that come with the Dynaudio System 240 were mounted under the rear seat.
